zerohalo21 06-19-2009, 07:49 AM That is awesome mate. Nice to see there is another person on here that knows how to use tools.
lareaper 06-19-2009, 07:56 AM Dude that is pretty awesome. I'm thinking about making one with some of the left over wood my dad has from when he built our back deck =D.
micah 06-19-2009, 08:02 AM i used the instructions from http://diyskate.com/ramps.html
cost of materials was about $96.. need 2 people to build it if u want it correctly done... although i put on the angle iron myself and the middle is perfectly flush, im def proud of myself for that !
Tre_31 06-19-2009, 09:16 AM hey dude what did u make the coping out of
micah 06-19-2009, 09:19 AM Angle Iron, about 1/8th inch thick, about $14 from Lowe's or Home Depot, for a 4 foot bar
where in MD are u? im goin to baltimore area next weekend
MattxLustt 06-19-2009, 11:37 AM Ha, mine looks kinda similar.
I'll see if I can get some pictures up in a bit. I didn't take pictures whilst building it, though.
SkateboardG 06-19-2009, 12:07 PM Nice man. Me and my dad built one last year that looks just like that.

julian0197 06-21-2009, 11:07 PM im tryna build one but i need to get my directions my friends dad said he will buy the wood and stuff for me
invalid 06-22-2009, 08:55 AM That's awesome - having one built by my buddy using those exact plans - though we had to modify it to be 8" high and 6' long due to space concerns (and my mate can't ollie that high yet)
let me know how it skates!
slothdog 06-22-2009, 04:13 PM thats awesome! if i had a patch of concrete at my house, i would totally make one of those too just like that!
Volcomsk8 06-23-2009, 02:26 PM Wow that manny pad is way to big for me. I can only skate little ones same and my friends make in five minutes.
Chrispy 06-23-2009, 09:03 PM this is a very noob question to be asking [i don't make stuff too often] but how did you get the angle iron drilled out in that cone shape so the screw doesn't stick out???

first drill a normal sized hole in the angle iron that a screw will fit through. Then take a bigger drill bit, and drill just about halfway through the metal, not the whole way through, in the same spot. This creates a place for the head of the screw to be so that it is flush with the angle iron.
Chrispy 06-23-2009, 09:26 PM thanks troy
micah 06-24-2009, 07:59 AM yup yup otherwise known as counter sinking the holes

I'm probably the only person stupid enough to do this, but the coping on my box is just glued on:icon_redf. It holds fine though... for now...
mimikskateco 06-30-2009, 11:46 PM thats a good lookin box.
arodsteezy 07-01-2009, 01:16 AM Where the hell did you find a countersink bit for metal? I looked for one all over. After I was like whatever and I glued it down.

you just use a bigger drill bit after u drill the smaller hole, u just don't go down all the way and it'll create the countersink.
nice man. i make one my s elf too with my friends
the_skater123 07-02-2009, 05:07 PM you paid $96 :O
im mbuilding one for bassicaly free
Trebor 07-02-2009, 10:13 PM yeah wood here is really cheep, i could build that same thing for like 30 bucks. 2x4's are like 2.50 and a sheet of 3/4 inch ply wood is 9 dollars.
you did a good job though, it looks like a lot of fun.
the_skater123 07-03-2009, 02:04 AM theres so much industry arond me that i could build one for free exept for the angle iron.
coleman! 07-03-2009, 02:09 AM awesome! It's gonna be funner to skate since you made it.
