When you're exporting there should be a spot for deinterlace. Not sure though i never used vegas. Export everything and then compress it in mpeg stream clip, its a free compresser you can download off of squared5.com then when you get your footage in there do file<export to quicktime. once the window pops up select h.264 for the codec, 100% quality for sound i usually compress mcaa 1.4 or something like that you don't have to compress the sound though. then check deinterlace and make sure the frame size is correct then click make movie.
