  1. Sorry. That wont work unless you go here first

  2. Ah. I forgot to mention Ferny Grove. A bit of a drive out but worth it if you want to see something weird. I was out there a few months ago. It's a strange layout there and I axed myself a few times. I think some of it may be marble.

Hey. Are you getting any info from this page. I find it hell handy. Almost any Brisbane park you can name is there. I've put a deliberate space at the end of http: so the board doesn't recognise it as a URL.

  3. Haha. Yeah. That got me too when we first started PMing. Some of the setup is weird here. That ankle has ballooned and my knee decided to join it which I never realised I bumped. I kept skating on it after I did it of course.

hey man, just realised i haven't been getting any of these messages. you have to click on view conversation before typing a message or else it just goes into your own profile..

sorry about that haha i would have been writing back all this time..

anyway, cheers for the tips i've been to Murrarie and i might just go back and take some pics for the thread and head to another park..
  5. Murrarie might be worth a trip too cos' it's close. Very smooth surface but the place doesn't do much for me. Mainly tranny & banks with one crappy little flat bar. Add to that an awful concrete halfpipe which would better serve as a medieval tortue/mutilation device. I'm enjoying playing on ledges now & this has none. Go during the week before afternoon cos' it's usually a big hangout for bike & scooters.

I also know of about 2 or 3 ****ty council bowls in our immediate area
  6. Birkdale is about 15-20 minutes from us. It's funnish and worth the trek. OK mini ramp there too.

The Godbowl is about 10-15 minutes away & is in some Christian housing & lifestyle estate in Mansfield. Authentic pool bowl and street course. It has indoor mini-ramps nearby somewhere too but I have surprisingly only been once. I'll like to give it another smash now I have a bit more skill & experience.

Fairfield is even closer to us and is pretty freakin' awesome. Same can be said for Paddington, just a short trip over the freeway.
  7. Just checked the thread. That's awesome mad. I've only visited a few in my time skating. I wont impose on the thread so i'll tell you here.

Stanthorpe was small with little bowls, banks and quarters. However it's easy to get a line on. Great for little **** like 50-50's and tail taps for me. A bar and a ledge that is too high. Bit of a trek out too. About 3 hours. My girls Mum lives out there and I was thumped to find the place had a park when I took my board down over Xmas. I have photo's & stuff of that one.

Pizzey park is awesome but very bowl oriented. The place is legendary & well worth the visit. Excellent surfacing.
  8. Sweet man. Will do tonight. I went to a fun little park out in Stanthorpe the other week but i'll post about that for you for starters. Prolly gotten about 4 hours on the P2 since Thursday and i'm hooked on it. It just feels really light and sturdy. I quite like the 8.2" size as well. My landings aren't as sketchy anymore.
I'll prolly head back to Coops tomorrow morning. (If my ankle comes off the ice well.) but i've really been favoring the afternoons on any day from 5.30/6 onward. Can be either crowded or calm but the sun isn't so brutal. Drop a line anytime for when you are heading down.
