    Default Significant Numbers

This is probably going to sound weird, but I was just wondering if my group of friends are the only ones that do this or not.

We have significant numbers. They're memes to us. Also times.

    Theres...

11 - Probably the most popular one in our group used by my friend Jake all the time.
22 - 22's! EXTREMELY popular throughout the high school in my hometown.
33 - I coined this as the worst number ever. I just hate it so much. It came from getting 3.33 repeating on a calculator.
    42 - I guess that's popular universally.
314 - Pi of course, but I've started seeing it EVERYWHERE for the past few months so it's become a meme.

    Times...

    11:11 - Self-explanatory
    3:33 - Self-explanatory
    9:12 pm - 2112 (Rush reference)
    3:14 - Self-explanatory
    4:20 - Self-explanatory >_>

    Anyone else do this?

any relationship that matters - a friendship, a family, a romance, a band - anything - is a perilous and fragile thing because along with all the amazing experiences and creations that can come from something so intimate and exhausting comes the possibility for things to crumble and shatter or whither and die. when that happens, it's easy to forget what was precious amidst all the disaster. we should always carry our history with us but never let it bury us.

bobbyd, you must watch the movie Pi. You will love it.
    on topic...

    I have times.
    11:11 - self explanitory
11:33 - for the longest time when my girlfriend and I are spending time together, I will look at the time and it would always be this.
11:34 - a couple summers ago I would always wake up/ look at the clock at this time, its 'hell' upside down. This was around the time when I had my ghost experience at my sisters house. [anyone remember that?]

my girlfriend and I just sorta have our unspoken numbers
    3
    13
    23

[On a side note... I really am sorry I bring up my girlfriend so much, she is the only person I hang out with besides my cat and fish]

    7. Any time any of us refer to something happening more than once, we're like "Yeah dude, like 7 times". Or if we're referring to anything that is more than one (example: how many slices of pizza we ate), we generally say 7 for that too. haha.

1987. if we're talking about something that happened a long time ago, we start off with "Well back in about 1987..."

3:33. When i was like 10-12 I wore a wristwatch. During the summers I would be up at my friend Brians house all day every day. Every single day, I'd look at my watch to see what time it was, and it never failed - it was always 3:33.

Most of my groups "Meme"s are either characters in history, or phrases though. For some reason we almost are always making a helen keller or anne frank reference, and every time a kid that appears to be younger than 12 shows up, we ask them if they'd like to buy magazines. We're strange.

Pi -> When someone was talking to much I used to interrupt him with the first 10 digits, it worked.
23 -> A friend was obsessed with that movie for some time
    42 -> yeah..
15 -> Became a "meme" after some kind of hilarious misunderstanding with a german word, forgot how it went down though
13:37 -> yeah.. 1337time... I know it's lame but I used to play counterstrike with 3 friends every sunday at that time.

Not too soon, but not even remotely funny.

My brother and his friends had a funny habit of answering anyone asking for the time with "8:19," no matter what time it actually was. I found that amusing.

For me personally, it's 27, or 2 and 7. It's everywhere in my life.

If you ask what time it is and you're around my friends, they'll answer, "one 'til".
