That arbor Vblahblah is awesome! My friend has it and uses it mostly for downhill. 300 bucks is a bit expensive but you really only need to get new wheels every year or so since you are just beginning. It deck and trucks will last you a really long time which is good.

I've only skated on a longboard once ever. Like 17 years ago. This dude came up to this skate spot me and my friends were at. He had this long-ass board, and it seemed so crazy to me. I had never seen one before. I had to skate it.

I did some kickflips and heelflips on it, but nearly killed my self trying to do a pop shove-it on it. Never saw a longboard again until fairly recently. There are a bunch of young kids in my neighborhood that ride around on them.

Yeah, longboarding has really started to blow up over the past few years.

Yeah I mean people are inventing tricks now that'll be super popular in the future. Whenever I am walking around, I always see a person with a longboard now, I rarely see street skateboards. Only place I really see street boards or at the skatepark.

Saw this sick sector 9 board at my shop for around 280$, seriously want it but I don't want to blow my money like that, I'll probably have to get another job over the summer.

Ummm, what sector 9 was it? Because they shouldn't be that much. There are much cheaper boards that are better too depending on the board.

He's in Australia, their pricing is drastically different than ours.

Edit: Wait, you're from there too, right? Ha

I can't justify purchasing ridiuclously expensive longboard parts when I know they won't ever hardly be used outside of where I could use a normal cruiser.

Sector 9 boards are mostly made at Waston Laminate (Tum Yeto) they aren't that cheap, they are well made its just that Billabong choses to sell at a somewhat lower price-rate (depending on the board) and make up for it in volume.

and this was just released the second place finisher (guy on the left) is Louis Piloni a Sector 9 rider

that's gonna leave a mark.........yup gravity still works

Everything's heavily overpriced here in Australia... especially since our state's going through an inflation. I'm pretty sure the same sector 9 board was around 200$ on their website.

Haven't been getting to skate that much, got to go out for only the second time on the Jerk the other day, though. Put some new grip on it yesterday, thought it looked pretty awesome.

And here's the Jerk as it's set up, now. Got some Venom bushings, I forget what duro I got... and I got some cup washers for the board side barrels.

Get your helmet on for that ****! Haha, I've mastered rolling out of stuff like that. I tried to do a toe side speed check into/ around a pile of brush like two weeks ago, my wheel punctured a garbage bag and sent me flying.

Just bought some Randal 180's with 42* Baseplates and some Lemon BigZigs.
    Yeahhhh
Going to get some Mega-Tsunami's and a cut-out nose/tail symmetrical dropped deck sometime later along with copious amounts of bushings.
