longboardskater is selling the khiro sets for about $30 which is pretty damn awesome. They also have some of those abec 11 flashbacks or whatever which is supposed to be a pour of their old 70s **** or something.

Khiro bushings kinda suck for Longboarding because they're so dead and tear so easily. And yeah Flashbacks are apparently awesome in 78/81a. I'm going to suggest them to the friend I bought the board for.

Ordered Randal 42 degree trucks (for the PTG) I have some risers to put on it already, 2 87a Venom cones, four color Venom sidewinders, some bearing spacers, and I forget what else. I'm pretty excited, my old Raw Randals are going back on the FSM, probably with the sidewinders. My blank trucks and 76mm Kryptos are going back on the landyachtz switch clone.

    Sounds sweetles.
Hope you can get that PTG dialed and start killin'.

Also got the Destiny in the mail today, gripped it up and doodled on it. The concave is pretty shallow but it's noticeable. It should be a comfortable ride.

I think I need some grittier grip for it since I want to start taking it up to higher speeds. Clear jessup (any jessup, really) probably won't do the trick. I have a toe stop, but that little extra insurance that my feet won't slip around that the grip will provide would make me feel safer.

Edit: Hey Donovan, any way you could make the first post of this thread come up on every page? I repost it every so often, but it's not as simple as quote, copy, paste, since Xgecko's little post I quoted in there gets deleted each time.

I dunno. Sounds like admin magic more than mod power. I'll see what I can do though.

I can only copy the original posts and move it around. I can make it the first post in all threads ever made after it, but, that's about it. It will only post it places chronologically, if that makes sense.

I broke my collarbone last week and have to have surgery and the doctor said I could be back on my board 4-6 weeks after surgery, but I can't skate street or parks like I usually do for a while after that. I have an old sector 9 cloud nine, I think its around 40", with independents and the wheels are kind of worn out, I think they're 61mm. My question is I'm looking at buying new wheels and bearings so I can cruise around while my collarbone heals. I'm looking for a basic wheel to roll around on comfortably that doesn't cost a fortune. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I can't speak to the quality of these wheels, but the board I have from here is incredibly solid and survived without a scratch during my friends fall on it at around 40mph. Most of the sets come with bearings, as well.

Yeah I've tried 'em out. Pretty rough.
Also that's a total bummer. I dug MHS. They had the best free bearings of all time. I tried to buy most of my bushings from them.

I still want a set of these.

Haha, I'm thinking I could throw my Original S8s on a Churchill board and use it as a lighter mountainboard. My mountainboard is way too heavy, and I feel like an ass dragging it out to ride.

Edit: Yeah, MHS bearings are on my Jerk, they're better than reds that I paid twice as much for. I kept checking back on the site to see if they ever got them in stock, then lurking Silverfish I saw they closed down. Daddies isn't bad though, neither is longboardskater. So, we've still got some good sites.
