I'm in North Carolina, and my give-a-**** meter is at 0 for this hurricane. We get like 10 a year, idk why this one's getting such a big deal made about it.

And before any of you say "Oh, well, you're in the mountains, you don't have to worry about tornadoez and other hurricaney stuff!"......false. The past year alone about 5 tornadoes have hit within a 4 mile radius of my house. haha.

    Come on Irene,
I swear (well he means) At this moment you mean everything,
With you in that dress my thoughts I confess verge on dirty
    Ah come on Irene.

NJ is supposed to get hit Sunday into Monday, I love sleeping when it's raining out though for some reason.

    (^See what I did up there?^)

How bout having a EF4 tornado destroy the town half a mile from your apartment. That's not fun at all.

flooding is the real problem for coastal areas. you don't have to worry about that.

You could watch a town get destroyed from your window. The closest I can get to that is playing Sim City and starting an alien attack.

Long Island has a history of doing ****ty during hurricanes (i.e. Hurricane Gloria a Cat. 2 in 1985, which caused a lot of devastation even though it was a 2). Doesn't help that we are AT sea level.

    Come at me broicane

It's times like these I'm glad I live in Ohio. We have tornadoes that don't do anything and lots of thunder storms.

A lot of my friends are gonna surf Irene this weekend, gonna be up to 20ft waves. I would but unfortunately I'm a ***** in skating and surfing/bodyboarding. I don't go big, never really go past 7-8ft waves which is actually really big for east coast, and I never do big **** skating haha. My brain really holds me back from becoming good.

Wheres the King Kong of hurricanes at? The ones that use to give me days off school back when I was in middle school. So rare, not like all those snow days you guys get lucky dogs.
Anyone here from Fl that remember this?
