    Default Shop Employees?

We had a new CCS open up a store in our local mall. Great selection, great prices, but the employees are complete jerkoffs. It's completely unfriendly. I haven't bought anything there, and I dont plan on it. But is there any shops like that around your area?

Are you talking about the ones at Northstar Mall? They were pretty nice to me the couple times I went in to poke around. This was before I started skating. I actually like the local shops better for skate stuff though.

I haven't been to Zumiez in forever. I used to go there for clothes and stuff, but I haven't been there for any skating stuff for Parker. I've only gone to our local skate shop for his board and stuff, and they're really friendly and helpful, and are skateboarders.

When possible, I like to support the local companies, no matter what I'm shopping for.

That's because CCS is owned by footlocker now.
I like my boards like I like my women, big, loose, and fast.

support your small local shops where possible, god knows they will be suffering in the recession more than the big chain stores.

these small shops are usually the hubs of the local skating communities as well, losing the last shop often seems to have a massive knock-on effect on the strength of skating in the area.

yeah. i walked in there to use a tool and they told us to buy one. that would never happen at any of our local shops. I'm not saying I'm entitled to use it, it's just the way they treated us.

Selection (for what I am shopping for right then) > any retailer. If has what I need and I can't get it at a local shop, they get my money.

A while back I nabbed wheels at zumiez, shop deck and went REAL far to get pivot cup replacements...what skate shop doesn't carry those? @tekgnar...

    Also, location helps!

Most of the mall shop staff around here actually skate, I see them at the park on a regular basis.

Support your local shop. It won't be around much longer if you don't

Really man if you live in Oxnard there are at least 3 decent shops within 15 minutes of you. Why waste your time with ccs?
