    Default Board Size

Just out of curiosity, what board size do you ride and why?

I ride 8.25, because i'm more consistent with it

I keep mine 7.75 because when you land a trick it gives you a bigger sense of satisfaction. Although GIRLskater64 does have a point.

I prefer to use 7.625. Always been a favorite of mine.

7.75. Anything bigger just feels clunky to get off the ground.

I think that is just personal preference as I have way more control with my 8.5 than I could ever have with the board I started out with a 7.75.

    Usually 8.0
Couple days ago got a 8.125, it feels the same.

Going up in size is something I don't regret. I got a 7.625 a while ago (thought it would be easier to flip). Turned out it was skinny as hell and was harder to flip because me feet felt like there wasn't enought room to set-up comfortbaly and to land on. Next, got two 7.75's, then 7.875s, then an 8.

8, perfect size. If i skate anything smaller I usually have to move my front toes in for any trick cause they hang off( pretty big feet but not monster feet)

    8" since day 1.

I like 8's but my current deck just fell short of 32 inches long unlike the 8's I skated in the past. I have long bandy freakin' legs and I really feel comfortable with the extra beesdick of length. All in all I think I might try an 8.1 or slightly larger just so the length is a bit more guaranteed.

skating an 8. My first deck was a 7.5, but my last couple are 8's.

I sorta feel like trying a 7.75, but haven't yet. In part because I wasn't able to ollie on the 7.5 at first (I learned on the 8). And even though I can ollie it now, I am superstitious... It does seem to flick a lot faster than the 8 though (even if I can't land my kicks yet.)

I find 8.5 the best all around size for a skateboard. It's small enough to do all of your technical flip trickery and large enough to be super comfortable on transition. Plus it's like having an aircraft carrier to land on.
I like my boards like I like my women, big, loose, and fast.
