Woot Buying camcorder to film skateboarding, need help

Hello im 16year old boy from finland and i just turned 16 yesterday and my parents are buying me a camcorder as a present. I need it to film my skateboarding and snowboarding... could u guys please suggest me any good cameras =)? my price range is something like 200-350 USD (max) and the camera can be used or new. i dont care about hd and the camera should record atleast 30 fps so i could use slow-mo. Thanks, EvilTwin =)

Standard cameras shoot 60i which is basically the same as 30p, its just 60 half frames instead of 30 full frames. You might as well just get something HD, it's not even worth getting something SD these days. It still looks ok for skating but everything else HD is standard.

Thats looks alright, if you go through the links it shows pictrues of the menu and shows that it shoots 60i as well, which is the same as 30p ( 60i is actually better for slow motion than 30p )

Check on the Kodak Zi8. I have that one and it does beautifully. You can change between 1080p, 720p 60FPS, 720p 30FPS, and SD videos. It even has 5.1MP stills, but I don't use that. The best thing about it is the external mic jack, which allows you to use a better microphone, which Flip cameras do not have. As well as an SD card slot, which allows countless hours of recording.

^That, or maybe a sanyo fh1. It does great from what some friends filmed with it.

Go with a GoPro HD2... it's right in your price range and you can do so much more with it than a normal video camera.

They have head/helmet mounts, as well as things to attached it to your chest or even your board. You can put it on the ground below you and do jumps over it and it shoots 60P, which gives you double the frames to do slow mo's.

But it's tough affording tapes when you're 16.
