Maybe I'll post it here for all to see. I know his mom real well and have written Gator about God and stuff like that, just so I felt like I did reach out to a life destroying monster, but a sick man as well. He wrote his mom and she gave me a signed Vision deck for keeps, or to auction is what I was thinking. Sad story for me being a teenage friend and starting to party around the same time. It sucks and I get all skitched out even typing about it now. One last thing. He still gets boxes of hate mail every week. The guards put you through a special connection, so that your mail goes to him. He's doing 31 years in San Louis Obispo, Ca. and got denied his fist Parole in 2009.
Good, he should never get out. I hope he's having a good time in prison.

Cool Gator Will Die In Prison

Yea MN Mike he truly is the most hated skateboarder in America. He gave skating a bad name back when it happened, I remember because I'm so freaking old, but the general population frowned on anything related to skateboarding.

Enter one named Mark Gonzales (The Gonz). He stepped up to the plate with a hard job and signed with Vision Skates. He showed America a different kind of skateboarding with launch ramps and street plants, etc...plus his name was Mark, so you got to give The Gonz credit for doing his part in the evolution of skateboarding, he truly is a living legend.

Gator turning into a murderer was definitely one of the strangest, saddest, most surreal events that ever happened involving a pro skateboarder. I can still remember seeing it on TV.

Hahaha!! Some folks lost their grip on reality (and a buttload of money) with that failed venture.

I'm ready for magnetic shoes and decks.

Haha, that stuff is back through a different company.

Gripping isn't even a difficult thing to do. I wonder what's on the Gonz's board now.

Edit: Apparently the stuff I posted is a 5 minute application process, then it takes 45 minutes to dry. I can grip and set a board up in 5 minutes!

Mark Gonzales is definitely on my list of favorites. I believe he started blind after skating for vision.

Oyola seems like he would be a pretty chill guy to be around. I have a lot of respect for him. Not only is he a sick skater but I like how he's trying to stay small and independent from the big skateboard industry.
