Default What do you think of Woodward?

I'm english, and we don't have them, but in general I wanted to find out what people's opinions are on the parks.
Kickflips and 360 flips are ****

We were all off our faces on mushrooms when we recorded Plug In Baby... There was this big field next to the recording studio filled with them. So we ate them all. I don't know what we were doing, but we all ended up naked in a jacuzzi and I went deaf in one ear from falling asleep in the sauna... Matt Bellamy

I've never been. But I think woodward is sick. What I dislike about it though, is that it's child-orientated. I feel like I'd stick out like a sore thumb if I went for a week.

    Not true at all man.

Not that there aren't a bunch of kids there.

Woodward is THE greatest skatepark in the world. Hands down.

    They have literally everything.

They have the traditional wood built parks....concrete.

They even built spots that look like parks n ****...with all the ledges, Hubbas and manny pads all over the place.

    Woodward is absolutely amazing.

And no.....no skater would stick out like a sore thumb.

There is just as much diversity in age as there is in this forum.

From guys in the 50's to 7 year old kids.

    *mostly* 16 to 20 something's tho.

i think its for kids rich rich mommies
any relationship that matters - a friendship, a family, a romance, a band - anything - is a perilous and fragile thing because along with all the amazing experiences and creations that can come from something so intimate and exhausting comes the possibility for things to crumble and shatter or whither and die. when that happens, it's easy to forget what was precious amidst all the disaster. we should always carry our history with us but never let it bury us.

I'd skate woodward but I'm poor, don't wear pads, and I'm double poor.

They offer graphic design, photography, and filmmaking camps. If your still a kid, tell your parents to enroll you into one of those camps and embellish how great they will look on college applications and resumes.

Im glad that you've skated every skatepark in the world. Especially all the free ones that dont make you wear pads.

I've always wanted to skate woodward.

But $1,000 for a weekend is ridiculous.

Woodward is THE greatest skatepark in the world. Hands down.
I don't know about that. I've been to Skatopia about a half dozen times over the years, it probably has a more laid back vibe to it, and every time I went it had different stuff to skate and got better everytime I went. Plus it's nice to not have someone breathing down your neck about dumb **** like not wearing pads, not wearing a shirt, not wearing a helmet, having fun(because it's pretty damn difficult to have fun when you have some dickhead *****ing at you for every little thing) I've ridden several parks that are like that, it's just a bummer to go there. Not to mention skatopia is free if you're willing to get your hands dirty and put in some work. Plus Brewce is a pretty down to earth, mellow dude.

    They have literally everything.
I just don't think that is possible. Sometimes the imperfections at spots make them better. You can't replicate a lot of the weird, but really fun **** when you're out in the streets.

They have the traditional wood built parks....concrete.
Ok. So they have stuff made of wood and concrete, just like every other park

They even built spots that look like parks n ****...with all the ledges, Hubbas and manny pads all over the place.
I can go down the street and find "manny pads" and ledges and I don't have to spend any money to skate them.

    Woodward is absolutely amazing
Doesn't sound like it. Sounds like it's just another skatepark, but you have to sell your small children to be able to afford to go there.

And no.....no skater would stick out like a sore thumb.
I usually stick out at every park I go to. I look like I just crawled out of a garage pretty much every day.

Woodward is just another skatepark. I'm not gonna lose any sleep about not being to go there.
