Worst place I ever skated was Guam red mud over everything, no ramps because of the rain, no concrete because of mold and earthquakes, the roads were crap, made of a coral aggregate so it ate wheels...after 4 years there I can deal with just about anything
that's gonna leave a mark.........yup gravity still works

WTF? Why? We have free parks with bowls and street setups. Indoor parks like Garden Sk8 and
Incline club. In the larger cities like Jersey City, Trenton, Hoboken, Freehold etc. there are plenty of street spots.
Cool diy spots like Junk spot. What the hell is wrong with Jersey?

Boom, Gerry, your city sucks (allegedly)!

Since I'm from there, Hungary. Well, at least not the big cities. The capital, Budapest now has a pretty decent looking pool an hour away from the downtown core. I'll have to go skate it when I go back to visit the family.

This is what the city calls as a skatepark in my hometown. It is only a year old btw...I've read they are planning on revamping it.

but honestly. there are a LOT of street spots, so yeah, for street skaters it's not that bad at all. Hell, they never even heard about skatestoppers at city planning...

Skating can be fun anywhere. I can spend hours on end just doing flatground stuff and I'm not even good at ollies. all you need is a parking lot.

Shit motherfucker if you want to skate, skate. I'm a freestyle enthusiast so I'm going to post these 2 videos:

Looks like a shitty place to skate but he does it.

Newmarket, Ontario lol. That's where I live. It's absolutely shit in all aspects. There are only 2 skate spots and they put skatestoppers on everything, even a ledge that's inside a fountain which is obviously impossible to skate. The weather is crap, if it isn't snowing it's raining and if it's sunny it's windy as hell. The only good thing is that there are a bunch of hills, some parts of the city look like a shitty version of San Francisco.

It kind of sucks here, it's not terrible though. The one thing that is nice about living here...is all the irritating little pricks are all at the skate plaza. There's a nice group of about 5-6 of us older 20 somethings and 30 year olds that strictly skate street. The spots kind of suck, the roads are terrible, but it is what it is. We make do with what we've got.

I feel your pain with the sucky roads! Potholes everywhere! A while back I went on Street View and went to a random road in rural Africa and even those roads where perfect, no potholes or nothing. It's dangerous to skate down the hills at night because it happened to me before when you're bombing down a big hill and you hit a pothole. I memorized where all the potholes on my street are so I can skate at night no problem haha.
