Dunno man. I used to take glucosamin tablets and didn't notice any changes. Then again, some people claim those are a fraud and there is no scientific truth behind the claims anyway...
i hope somebody else chimes in with more useful info.

Risers, bigger wheels, softer wheels, shoes that aren't Vulcanized, insoles shoes are kinda variable but wheels and risers are really a game changer especially if you are skating hard wheels to the core

bend your knees bro. When before you jump and when you land. It will make a world of difference. You may also want to try a shoe that doesn't has no insole like Janoski's. I would prefer some Lakai Selects to start with and then work your way up or down from there in terms of softness.

Being in shape helps. Strength training when it comes to working out your leg n thigh muscles. Definitely helps to lesson the pressure put on those joints.

Perhaps you should try keeping your joints in something more secure like a cigarette case. They'll get all smashed up if you just stick them in your pocket while skating.

Or switch to smoking a bowl. They make nice all metal pipes that wont get damaged. A bong would probably break and be uncomfortable in your pocket.

Ya, but a joint you can just quickly tap out and swallow if the cops come rolling up. Dropping a red hot metal pipe in our pocket can have some more serious consequences.

I hate when my joints get damaged too. So I usually roll around with one of these bad boys...
