Congrats again to Coleman for a well-deserved MOTM! Good luck on your mission!
My favorite author. Hmmmm, thats a toughy. I am going to be a real truth-teller and say that I probably have not read enough to answer this. But I will answer this. I actually didn't really start actively reading until like my Junior year of high school and it was probably not that active. To answer the question though, I would have to say Cormac McCarthy. McCarthy is the only author so far that has emotionally struck me. The Road almost made me cry at the end. No Country was so good as well. Even though those 2 are the only 2 I have read so far, I am really wanting to read more, but I have been reading Vonnegut, Murakami, Sinclair, and Kerouac lately so I haven't found the time. And now that I am going on a mission, I am not going to be reading any literature except for my scriptures haha.Who is your favorite author?
Man, I like a lot of contemporary poets. But I also love Ginsberg, Kerouac, Whitman, and Burroughs. But I guess, because there can only be one favorite, I'll say Walt Whitman. One of his poems actually made me feel so happy, that I had tears coming. Ultimate inspiration. And one of Walt Whitmans ultimate inspirations was the bible. Which is pretty cool to me.Favorite poet?
I guess I am going with Rilo Kiley on this one:Favorite song lyrics?

Sometimes in the morning i am petrified and can't move
Awake but cannot open my eyes
And the weight is crushing down on my lungs i know i can't breath
And hope someone will help me this time
Your mother's still calling you insane and high
Swearing it's different this time
And you tell her to give in to the demons that possess her
And that godnever blessed her insides
Then you hang up the phone and feel badly for upsetting things
And crawl back into bed to dream of a time
When your heart was open wide and you loved things just because
Like the sick and the dying
And sometimes when you're on you're really fucking on
And your friends they sing along and they love you
But the lows are so extreme that the good seems fucking cheap
And it teases you for weeks in its absense
But you'll fight and you'll make it through
You'll fake it if you have to
And you'll show up for work with a smile
And you'll be be better you'll be smarter
More grown up and a better daughter
Or son and a real good friend
And you'll be awake and you'll be alert
You'll be positive though it hurts
And you'll laugh and embrace all your friends
And you'll be a real good listener
You'll be honest you'll be brave
You'll be handsome you'll be beautiful
You'll be happy
Your ship may be coming in
You're weak but not giving in
To the cries and the wails of the valley below
Your ship may be coming in
You're weak but not giving in
And you'll fight it you'll go out fighting all of them...
I am going to be frank with you, I have no idea. What is your opinion on the frankingmachine?
How about another Rilo song?
It has nothing to do with skating or literature or art so I dont care. What is your opinion on the postagedevice?
Well, I am going to have amazing forests, be spending most my days serving people, dressing schnazzy, eating wonderful food, befriend more people, studying my scriptures, and being in a new place. I think that will keep my mind off my beautiful mountains. How are you going to cope with not seeing those beautiful mountains for 2 years?
My family, but I will be able to write them every week. My friends, but I'll be able to write them as well. Skateboarding everyday, at least I might skateboard once a week. I think thats it.What will you miss the most from non mission life when you are on the mission?
2 years of mission.Where do you see yourself in 10 years time ? maybe with a son called Coleboy?
4 years of school and being a photojournalist, have a girlfriend
I want to travel a bit before getting married or anything
Maybe get married after 25. But any sooner I dont think I want that at all
I am stoked. I have been wanting to do this since I got out of high school. Finally I can be doing something under my own roof. I am doing this for me and no body else. I am going to miss my family for sure, but I can tell this is going to be a good experience for me.Congrats on serving a mission Coleman, you're going to be a great elder!
Question: How are you feeling about leaving your family/friends/personal life for 2 years to serve as a missionary?
I have been skating so much, trying to skate at least 3 hours everyday. How often are you able to skate now?
I will be able to skate once a week, depending on who my companion is. I am bring my board for sure though.
ye, depends though tooWill you be able to skate at all while on your mission?
Eh, I don't know, I skate my church all the time and no body minds, so I guess they dont think ill. Ummmm I mean, old people in general are probably way confused on why we skate and why we enjoy it, but I dont care what old people think. Skating shaped my personality and I think made me a better person. I love skateboarding, nothing and no one can change that.I'm assuming you're Mormon (I apologize if I'm wrong), but how is skateboarding seen by your peers and the older generation of your religion?

And no cellphones are not allowed.are you not allowed to use the internet or a smart phone at all during your mission or will it just not be readily available?

Above the lakes, above the vales,
The mountains and the woods, the clouds, the seas,
Beyond the sun, beyond the ether,
Beyond the confines of the starry spheres,
My soul, you move with ease
My bad, I don't know how I forgot about part 2
Also I'm gonna say it doesn't seem unlikely that in the next 2 years you, me, Chandler and Chris (cdragon) could all meet.
