    TRIPLE CROWN JAM: CONTEST SERIES

    The Conejo Recreation and Park District will be hosting a Summer-long event series that will be including skateboarding, scooter and BMX riding.

    Competition will be held June through August, with qualifying rounds in May.

    COMPETITION SCHEDULE
    SKATEBOARD
    Skateboard Qualifying Round: May 23
    Skateboard Competition Round 1: June 27
    Skateboard Competition Round 2: July 25
    Skateboard Final Round: August 29

    BIKE
    Bike Qualifying Round: May 19
    Bike Competition Round 1: June 30
    Bike Competition Round 2: July 25
    Bike Final Round: August 29

    SCOOTER
    Scooter Qualifying Round: May 21
    Scooter Competition Round 1: June 25
    Scooter Competition Round 2: July 30
    Scooter Final Round: August 27


    There will be a $5 registration fee for each competition category, per person. Event is a “jam” style format, which is more competitor-friendly.
    In addition to competitive action, there will be prizes and live music. Registration for this event must be done in person at the Borchard Community Center located at 190 N. Reino Road, Newbury Park.

    Participants under 18 must have parent or guardian signature on waiver form in order to register.

    Humm, I don't remember having to do that when I competed in USSA freestyle skiing back in the day. Might have had to have my dad sign a form though. I think he was at my first meet so it is possible. Not a lot of parents come out to support their kids' skating these days.

    Actually, I am remembering that my mom had to sign a waiver form the first time I got to skate in a real skate park back on the late 70s.

    How many of the folks here can count on their parents signing the form at the competition?

    The contest is put on by the Conejo Recreation & Park District, I also work for the same district so I don't think I really can. I might go watch though.
