Default When is it "too hot" to skate?

How hot does it have to be for you not to want to skate? I'm sure this can vary, depending on where you live. If you live in a hot area, you're probably more used to it.

It's been in the high 90s here lately, and the cement at the skate park just radiates the heat. So we've stayed away from the park during this weather. But he's skated in high 80s/low 90s. But 99 is just too hot, imo.

    What about you?

When I was younger I didn't get fazed by the heat at all... I'd skate in 100 degree weather plus insane humidity but as I got older I got more and more intolerant of the heat and now I get physically sick really easily when it's hot... which sucks a lot. So the last few summers have been a lot of night trips and indoor skate parks. I'd say the upper 80s is my cut off unfortunately.

    Who cares?

    ----

I've skated in 100+, only thing is that I get exhausted quicker and need to drink every 3 minutes. I prefer 100 over 40 degrees.

it's actually nice skating in like 50 degree weather, cold enough for a hoodie and still comfortable

It's 65 F here right now. This is more typical of November here. Crazy! But no skating. It's poured rain nonstop for two days.

I can skate in 80-85 degree weather for about 30 minutes before I'm just completely done. Much hotter and it's time to sit back and watch old skate videos.

Depends on what state i'm in. Cause 90 degrees in Florida is a lot different than 90 degrees in Colorado.

But at my home, 85 is where i start second guessing if i'm gonna go outside. I can't handle humidity anymore, especially not when it starts getting warm out.

It hurts a lot less to fall in 100 degree weather than 30... Just saying.

If I had an admin login I'd change "General Off Topic" section title to "How's the Weather for Skating?"

I just sit in the shade and drink beer.

It was so crappy yesterday, a high of 55 in mid August. I'm hoping for 75 today. Last time I went skating it was 95 and we were out in the sun for a good 10 hours, it felt horrible to take a shower that night.
