Well it wasn't necessarily on sale, but I bought an external hardrive reader. I need it to retrieve all the music and porn (it's mostly porn) off my old laptop that crashed a while ago. I ordered it from China on Ebay for like $1. It'll get here when the boat gets here I guess. Yaaaaaay for cheap child labor. Those little hands are so crafty!

Wait, I also bought a red dress shirt and a tie from Mens Warehouse the other day. I needed it like that night, so I was willing to pay $90 (wtf???) in total for them. I was planning on just returning them later, so I didn't mind at the time. Also they were having a buy one, get one free sale, so I actually got 2 shirt and 2 ties for the price of 1.

Well the next day I go to return the shirt(s) and tie(s) because fuck them I'm not letting them keep all that money. I work too hard for that. Besides, I only wear a suit like 5 times a year anyway. But here's the thing; they don't remember that I also got the 2nd shirt and tie the previously day. I'd brought them along in my bag just to be save. So I walked out of there with my money, with a smile on my face, and with a debatably stollen shirt and tie with me. Moral of the story - People don't pay attention and don'y go to Mens Wearhouse. It's overpriced anyway.

Picked up a couple fitted sports team caps, buy one and get 2nd half off with original prices also marked down.

Getting fat. Took a college ring to get it resized Friday. They said it would be ready yesterday. Went to pick it up, gave them my claim check, and they dug though the bin of repairs and found the envelope in there that matched my claim check. THE ENVELOPE WAS EMPTY!! They said the owner took it home to work on it there and it would be ready tomorrow (Sunday/today). I went back this morning and they didn't even ask for the claim check instantly recognizing me. Said the owner's son was on his way to the mall with the ring so I went and walked around the mall for 20 minutes and bought the caps. When I got back he still wasn't there with it but walked in immediately after. He pulled the ring out if his pants pocket. It looks good and fits much better. They knocked $10 off the repair because it wasn't ready on time. Pretty sketchy that they carry around irreplaceable, pretty expensive small items around town in their pants pockets. Just glad all is taken care of and I have it back. The company that made the ring no longer makes that style. The closest things I saw from class ring makers cost way more than I thought they do.

Like the new hats too hahaha..

I bought an Alva Pool Crusher and a set of Indy 215's. Not on sale though. Got tired of the skinny 8.5" popsicle stick I've been riding.

The way I see it the way kids are trying to get the hardest wheels they can they may as well go back to metal or clay.

Earlier this year I picked up a set of Spitfire Formula Four's 99A to try at the parks to see what the hype was all about with hard duro wheels and I have to admit its easier to skate the parks with smaller wheels that are a higher duro than what I've skated so far in my life (I'm 50). They felt faster than the soft 66mm Gravity Burners I'd been riding and handled carving the walls a lot better. Plus its nice to be a little lower to the ground. But I recently picked up a set of 55mm Kryptonics Star Trac green's (86A duro) and the ride is softer but you still get the benefit of the smaller wheels.

Yeah, 99a is just right. I was skating Bones STF which are like 85B. A little too slick and hard for parks really and on street the caught rocks like crazy. I'm skating Force now which are all 99a and they feel great.

On Topic: Got a bunch of half-price outdoor Christmas decorations. Next year is going to be crazy!

Speaking of wheels, i was an idiot and bought 103 duro wheels early this year. this was the result after just turning on flatground:

I'm on 99a 52mm wheels now, and they're perfect for street but still a liiitttllleee too slick for indoor parks. I have to rub my wheels against the concrete or brick walls every few runs to rough em up a little bit.

But back to the main topic, I work in the service industry, so i didn't get to partake in any sales, because i haven't really left my own work in what seems like 34230 years.

Yeah, that looks pretty knarly. Yikes! I ride my Gravity Burners when I hit the streets because the 99A's rattle my teeth on anything other than smooth concrete. The Burners are a nice soft 78A and feel good on asphalt.

Nah, it was scabbed up for a solid 3 weeks or so and was pretty tender to touch for another month after that. I probably could've used stitches, but i couldn't afford to go to the doctor. Gotta love the u.s.a!
