It's absolutely nutty how much boards, and skateboarding as a whole, evolved in the decade following the advent of the urethane skateboard wheel (1973?). I'm a huge history nerd, so I really enjoy putting things into historical context. Every year in the 70's, something new came about...during the 80's, skate evolution slowed down as everything took to the streets...and during the 90's, skate evolution halted as we got the symmetrical deck and the standard fliptrick->manual->fliptrick out combo that's been around for 25 years now.
