That's really too bad. I got into skating a couple years ago and discovered silverfish. I left for a while and came back this week to find that it was shutting down. Sad times.

Welcome Mr Kimmel. Really glad to hear that Hurricane Irma didn't wash you away. Hope that power was restored so family could return home and hopefully no home damage.

Thanks rockst*r. Can't wait for the edit buttom. Seems I'm filling this forum with redundant (goofyfoot) posts. Oh well.

Okay... who hid the "rep" button? All I see is the "report" button, but not the rep button.
    I can't spread it around....

There's a little sheriff star next to "report," but it looks like that is dependent upon your post count as well.

Yup, I saw it, but it disappeared. Eh, we'll see after a few more posts.

That's the history of the site, yeah, but I wonder if anyone's assembled anything about the community as a whole (Hole, perhaps?).

So many great things...which wheels were best for sliding; Wefunks, Magnumz, and other percussion trucks; SuckySkaterGirl; Tracker Stimulators, Pleasure Tool bearings, and Hot Spot wheels; when 87's Ruled The World; Flashchat and the Flashcats; the Silverfish Eaglesharks.

Summarizing the SilverFish community as a whole over the years would be almost impossible. Everybody had their favorite crews and hangouts so everybody's perspective would be different. For example, I don't have a clue about the SF Eaglesharks. Same with SuckySkaterGirl. I do remember Tyler Hill and his posse of red riders. Their antics were hilarious. As time went on and I got tired of the "Best wheel" and "Best bearing" questions, I just kind of hung out in the over 40 thread, the LDP thread, and the carving thread. I also enjoyed the action/photography thread and the videos that get you stoked threads.

By the way, at 15 posts, I got the ability to edit my posts. I still can't spread any rep around though which is weird as I was able to do so when I first signed in. Eh.... we'll see.

What the fuck is even happening? Google's cache has stopped holding Silverfish information, and now even a search for the most basic information comes up fruitless!

Google generally doesn't like holding dead sites on its index. It's gone buddy.:/
