This is a homage to Kelder's original and legendary thread on www.Silverfishlongboarding.com on SkatersCafe ...
After Silverfish died, skateboarder geezers all over are trying to reconnect. For those who landed here, you are welcomed. For those on the know there is also Ulu's oasis (Neanderthal, link?).
If anybody has Kelder's original thread welcoming post, please add it here!
OK, so start posting your latest Maryhill pics, setups and skate/life stories!

I'm not 40, but have been alive in 4 decades. I hope that counts![]()

@Neanderthal1, I was going to "like" your post but I don't know how it is done in here... or even if it's possible... so an old "Thank you" will have to do
@Dr_Feelgood: Man, what a great nickname! and nice pic on your sig (although a little big for my small screen)
Thanks for all of the unearned rep fellas. I can't return the favor until this site deems me worthy.
Anyhow, just so you know... I put the SkatersCafe URL in my GnarWheels sig to help others who may be looking for the door to the SkatersCafe.
Cheers.
And... I can now edit my posts!

Thanks, got it! (SDO's email)
My youngest has been playing comp league soccer for about 5 years, maybe 6. He's playing his last year with a team made up of 99 and 00 (birth year) players. This team is good enough that they qualified for the Premier League.
The "Gold" team needed some players today to avoid a forfeit, so my kid and about 3 or 4 others signed up to play. The other team didn't know what hit 'em.
This is the first season that my kid got the chance to play winger or striker on his comp league team. He was slicing and dicing the defense like a Ginsu knife. 2 goals and 1 assist for a 5 - 0 win. Yup, it's the genes!
NPL baby!

Very cool. My kid;s U15s got crushed yesterday morning. He's got 3 goals so far this season but got shut out yesterday. Our starting keeper didn't show, we were so light we had to borrow two players from the other team just to fill the field. First half was well played, down 2-1. As expected, last half of 2nd half was ugly as the legs turned to jelly.. no subs, other team had 4.. playing 8 on 8 with unlimited substitutions.. Just got outrun by fresher legs late in the game..
Those games with a lot of "no shows" are really bad. If you're not going to show up at game time, why sign up? With all the players dropping down to help, the gold team had 12 players which meant 1 sub so lots of play time for everybody. I also noticed that the more seasoned players have learned to conserve energy.
