Old Santa Cruz Bullets, the new thane isn't the same,
Green Rainskates (if you skate indoors these wheels are a must)
Speedlab/*****fire....this guy is at the forefront of park skating wheel design over the last few years (read this is a lot of people are using his molds)
Autobahn....I have killed a few sets of Enduro's and will probably kill a few more.
Abec 11 Sublimes....Chaput is a mad scientist of longboard wheel design and his shortboard wheels are incredible

my choices of Longboard wheels are varied...though Abec 11 Flashbacks and Hesher snowballs are two that I seem to return to most often

I'm looking at the Bones STF and see they are 83b and the autobahns are like 99a or 100a. Now I usually tend to skate street spots and I never skated a pair of stf bones before. So my question is, how different would it be skating those? The bones would be softer, right? But wouldn't the 99a/100a wheels slide better since they wouldn't grip as much? Overall what do you think would be a better choice for the street skating, stf bones or some autobahns that are 99a/100a range?

companies use the B scale when their wheels don't measure properly on the A scale. My experience on B scale wheels is that they feel harder than most 100A wheels but the stick more like some thing in the mid 90's.

Thanks for the quick reply. After reading this I found a link to the bones site showing how they scale the B wheels. http://www.bones.com/why/b-scale/

I'm just gonna have to pick up some stf bones and see if I like them more then the typical 99a/100a wheels I usually ride. I always hear good things about STF series.

[QUOTE=ChiTownRon;1681544]If this is the same one I seen listed online somewhere, the trucks on these aren't the best, but for you though I guess it's a decent starter board. At least you're not riding a walmart board anymore.

aha you remembered...well i was actually talking to my friend and he was gunan sell me his independent trucks for cheap i think ill slap those on

Well, you don't have to rush into buying the indy's. Skate your trucks for a couple days and see how you like them. Since you won't probably be grinding a lot right away, they would probably be good for you. If anything you could just buy some bones bushings and put those on so the trucks turn and respond better.

I got a Black Label Lucero that some collector sold to the
skateboard shop recently. It's WIDE, but wide boards are my roots anyhow.

No, but the original deck that I skated in like 89' was about that wide. That looks like an early 80's Lucero.
