I got that before I joined. I'm an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church. I just filled out the application online. Coincidentally that's the same institution that made Hunter S. Thompson a "Dr. of Journalism".

That guy ^^^^ needs to lighten up. I do identify a bit as I'm a "boomer" managing a small team of millennials and I have millennial kids. There are times where we experience the same thing but the take aways are different.

And yes, it's my generation's fault that the world is all messed up and... we brought you "IQ45".... You can thank me later. Lol....

I have to give mad props to Bobcat Goldthwait for writing that though.

Man, Sam Kinison, Bobcat Goldthwait... I haven't heard those names for years. Nothing quiet or subtle about those 2. I remember listening to them back in the day... way back... 90's style. I wonder if they would fly today... with cancel culture and all that.

South Park is still on the air, as is Family Guy.

To me Dice was a case of satire gone wrong. People didn't quite get that he was making fun of people like that.

Well. I think he's still funny without the stutter or scream:

But the movie that I posted the clip from "God Bless America" was written and directed by Goldthwait.

I...want so badly to regurgitate some of the sentiments expressed in the movie above, but don't know how to do it.

Yeah. It's weird to watch a comedy about a mass killing. But it is an insightful movie. I find myself using the line about the American Idol voting number a lot.

How dare anyone start to think 2020 couldn't possibly get any worse.. Guess who ends up deciding contested elections?? It will be decided by the fully captured US Supreme Court. This was my greatest fear of how our democracy ends and fascism takes over Russia style.

On the bright side, New Year's Eve ought to be the craziest one since 1999. Everyone is sooo fucking done with 2020. Home fireworks in every neighborhood ought to be over the top. Unfortunately, here that means thousands of drunken fools shooting their guns in the air like the wild west but machine guns..

Glad we have passports.. not sure we'll ever be allowed to use them though..

Yeah. I never thought I'd hear the term "Patriotic Education"used in the United States. To me it sounds like an Orwellian codeword for "Re Education".
