Hey, you posted in another thread about Spitfire Classics...did you ever have trouble with them getting too many flatspots?

Yeah I got to try one at my local guitar shop and it passed the 12:00 test (all controls except volume set at 12:00). It's 1,000 watts and the size of a toaster. I got the Richard Bona signature model. He is one of my favorite newer bassists. The fact that I didn't have to deal with Musicians Friend or Guitar Center is a plus since I really don't like giving money to Mitt Romney.

Essentially the rig that I bought is the one that he's playing in this video:

Puff paint is a bitch to work with, so the edges didn't come out nearly as cleanly as I wanted them to, but that's definitely a solid set of brass knuckles inlaid into the top of my Ibanez GSR-100

Didn't have time for anything touristy in Oberhausen, no. Did meet a few Americans, though.

I didn't mean to slide around, I'm just a horrible skater and literally forgot how to roll in a park

Over the years, I acquired a box of wheels from the 80's and 90's, including some circa-1998 Spitfire Classics. I bought some Stage 8 Indys, and a Flip Tom Penny and made myself a period-correct 1998 rider...that's what I was riding when I was flatspotting all over the park. I gotta wonder if it's just that the urethane of the wheels degraded over 20 years and made them flatspot if you look at 'em funny.

Do you post on Reddit? There was an "ask an Australian" thread where in I posted the same question and got a very similar answer.
