GOING SKATING TOMORROW. So so keen, I love Saturday sesh's. Hit the city, smash a coffee and smoke in the morning then skate well into the afternoon and end it with some beers in the city. Perfecto.

We may not know what skateboarding is
But we sure as hell know what it aint
Wait we know what it is now too -

I'm getting bored of skating, doing the same tricks at the same park. I gotta change something because I'm losing interest and my progression has gone down. I can't do tricks I could do a couple months ago.

skate street instead of park. It's a lot more fun.

    EDIT:
This photo on the left is so sick. I know this is a long shot but does anyone know if its online somewhere?

    EDIT EDIT: Nevermind, found it.

I'm with Ben on this one. Maybe you just need a change of venue. There is an abstract art concept called Platorum. Essentially it is taking an object or something else and putting it into a place where you wouldn't normally see it. Like doing a Piroette on a fire hydrant. Or Rodney Mullen doing Caspers on banks. Either change how you interact with your environment, or change the environment you are interacting with. Or change how you interact with the board. See how many tricks you can do in a row using only the momentum from one trick to go into the next one. The possibilities are endless once you open yourself up to them.

I completely agree with this. I went through a stage similar to your's Nightrocker. I started skating street, it was fun but it still wasn't what I felt it should be and the reason was is my mind was too closed on what skateboarding was. I thinking too inside the box, just because everyone skate a certain spot (or skate park) the same way doesn't mean you have too. Just explore skating in a different way...

Update on the work story. Kid came in with a 7.75" Real with Thunders and Spitfires that someone gave him in good condition. I showed him a Chris Haslam, and a best of Rodney Mullen video then took him out back and showed him some ways to flip the board and sweep the tail while standing on the ground. I was going to skate after work but it kind of looked like rain.

Just saw The Wolverine, so rad. Fuck, I love superhero movies.

Wolverine really is the best at what he does and what he does, isn't very nice.

^ lol So her parents basically volunteered to chaperone your date for the evening. That's just wonderful. Bit of an overprotective family I'm guessing.

Guys, I am balls deep in Virginia. Actually I'm on I95. Can't wait to get home, go skating and film some more mountainboarding. Have an awesome diy spot I want to hit. Last I went I tried to crooked grind the rail off the ledge, landed my wheel on it instead of locking my trucks in. Died. Also, I'm talking to this girl that has a boyfriend, but she's been into me for a while and hasn't seen the guy in weeks (she's in Hawaii now.) Gonna hang out and NOT put it in her.

No spots where I live... I'm moving to an almost rural area next year but there's a park nearby.

There is a part of US 460 I sometimes have to navigate called "The Jerry Falwell Parkway". It just feels so wrong and so right hoping some massive natural disaster befalls that area when I'm not there..
