I stenciled a bleeding heart on the buttstock of my AR-15 after being deemed "too liberal" to buy parts from a guy locally. I told him great, thanks, and proceeded to spend my money on (the exact same, but priced MUCH lower) parts online.

A few interesting things though. I saw an interview with a chimpanzee trainer who pretty much said than a chimp has the intellectual ability of an 8 year old. Also compared to humans they have better agility, and greater strength. It also wouldn't surprise me if they also have better balance. Pretty much that video was of a really strong 8 year old skating.

replace guitars and cadillacs with paying my rent and buying groceries lol. Because it turns out my employer messed up my paperwork in payroll when I moved states and I also didn't get paid yesterday either. They fixed it, but said my money won't be here for another 5-7 business days. So i'm kinda fucking drowning right now LOL

I moved about ten blocks south of where I was living. My roommates moved out so I did too. I'm just waiting for my router to come in the mail.

Please excuse the barge. I'm just curious, what kind of wireless router? I've had good luck with Linksys and Asus routers. I haven't jumped for the mimo enabled routers because nothing in the house (computers or mobile phones) support that standard, so I figure why pay for it? I've been buying wireless N and AC enabled routers.

We had another member that was really active here from South Dakota up until about 3 years ago. Not sure if he was in the same city though. It's a big state.

We're on a Linksys at home. It works well, gets good range, but won't connect to forums if I have a filter on for specific websites. I had recorded the solution on Silverfish, but... well... you know.

I dug through his posts a little bit. I think he's from a little small town suburb just outside of where I'm at. I doubt he still skates, otherwise I would probably would have ran into him at some point.

As for my router, I just bought a sub $100 dollar asus that had alot of good reviews. It's just a router, not a modem/router combo.

Dylan lives out here in Arizona now, I think. I've got him on facebook, he's not very active but I remember talking to him a while back about how he was moving here.

Sold some old boards today to recoup some funds and put the money toward a new bass guitar. I strolled into the guitar shop this evening for my lessons, all ready to pull the trigger on a Bronco bass. While chatting it up with the shopkeep, he suggested I try an Ibanez bass; only $30 more than the Bronco.

I played it and LOVED it.

I love the punk rock vibe of the Bronco, but don't love the nonstandard pickup. I love the sound and "feel" of the Ibanez, but as it's long scale, I have to stretch quite a bit more than I'm used to.

    I'm so conflicted.

I had a little Cort short scale bass. It was pretty cheap, always needing to be cleaned. I changed the tuning pegs on it so it would stay in tune better. A guy I was in a band with loaned it to his nephew and never got it back. I wasn't devestated, but do wish I still had it just because it was different and not easily replaced. I only paid $50 for it originally and my Washburn is better in just about every dimension, but it's not that little funk chopper.

Full disclosure, I haven't touched a guitar in at least 4 months and haven't played regularly for years now. Been playing drums lately when I have a few minutes to rock out..

My first bass was a particleboard Grand Prix short scale I bought in a pawn shop for $100. The next one was an Aria Pro II Integra that I eventually ripped the frets out of. The next was a Yamaha 5 that I put EMG pickups and a badass bridge in. After that was a Washburn Bantam 6 that I got for $500 that I had to replace the output jack every year at tax time. Finally I settled on a Fender Steve Bailey Jazz Bass VI that I ended up paying $2,250 for. Since it was the of if not last one made the guy in the shop told me it was the only bass that he ever sold that appreciated in value before it left the shop. I have thought about getting something a little cheaper/more common as I am a little paranoid about leaving the house with it.

Lately I have been putting one or 2 hours a day in playing. One of my favorite things to do is to loop chords and play scales against them to hear the relationships between them. I'm also an effect pedal junkie.

Anyone catch Chad Muskas Epicly latered episode the other night? Was pretty cool, gave some insight to a guy who came a long way from being a homeless teen sleeping outdoors to the legend he became.

Yeah I just caught that. It also seems like kind of a warning of what can happen when you are given so much money at such a young age when you came from nothing.
