I should give that one a listen. Mike V is, hands down, one of the most fascinating guys in all of skateboarding.

The Don Brown episode was kinda cool too. Talking about his history in the industry from being a skater to his work and history at Sole Tec.

I just subscribed to The Nine Club podcast on my phone and downloaded a bunch of stuff to listen to at work, without looking at the length of time that these episodes are.

If I began listening right now, and listened straight through the night, I wouldn't get done until about 3pm on Thursday. 39 hours of podcasts! Holy wow!

For me this is a classic Mike V moment:

Taking on 4 rednecks by yourself is pretty epic.

I didn't realize how fascinating P-Rod is until this podcast. I'm still looking forward to hearing from Joey Brezinski, Torey Pudwill, Steve (and Alex) Olson, Mike Mo, Brandon Biebel, Braydon Szafranski, Bam, Sal Barbier, Andrew Reynolds, and Jamie Thomas.

I found some awesome socks on the clearance rack at the local store. They're blue with purple spots and a yellow band around the top. My wife thought I was nuts. But hell, I'm a 31 year old man who rides skateboards for fun. Fashion is the least of my concerns.

Holy shit. Took an odd day off work because I volunteered to help with a new network infrastructure upgrade at our office this Saturday. Was out back cutting the grass and heard a huge BOOM! I had been told there was going to be utility work happening so I thought that was related. Then sirens, all over town.. came in to get a text from my 16 year old. Building across the street from school blew up. Whole section of downtown Durham is a disaster area, natural gas leak exploded leveling a building and damaging others in every direction. Kid is home now, they evacuated after the fire was under control. WOW!

Where you at in Germany? I spent a few months there in the late 90s.

I was in Wiesbaden at the time of posting that. Have since played Zurich SW and Oberhausen GR. In Søborg, Denmark at the moment. Warsaw next.

Did you get to hit the gas tower museum in Oberhausen? They managed to clean out the gas tower but it still kinda smells like fuel in there. I remember going there and walking on the outdoor observation walkway and getting to the back and seeing a big American Shopping Mall complete with a Planet Hollywood thinking, "Fuck I thought I came here to get away from this shit!"

In other news I just ordered a new amp off Reverb. Used Markbass Head and Cab for $1,600.
