What I’m a little surprised is I didn’t see people hitting rare spots with minimum security or people during April and Mays covid. I saw the usual right, but I was thinking like a rare spot unable to be skated in a big city due to traffic and such
Pandemic was the final nail in the coffin for mom and pop brick and mortar retail without a strong online presence.

You do know that movie had an alternative ending where a robber comes in and shoots Dante at the end right? And he wasn't even supposed to be there..

I knew that. One of the special features on the DVD is the alternate ending. The studio wanted a happy ending. I'm also trying to remember if Jason Lee had a cameo in that too.

I believe it's true. Man, are you glad to be home now that COVID's all over North and South America thanks to idiot leaders? I know Canada's not as bad but Australia and NZ did everything right and are now much better off than here.

Nothing to worry about, the Great Orange will save us and all while making us great...again! Speaking of which, I just saw a red hat that said, "Make America Sick Again!" Lol...

It's funny though that California has the most cases of COVID right now but if you look at the numbers in context it isn't that bad. Even though we have more cases than New York we also have more people so we're actually doing better per capita than most of the country.

Got out and pushed around the neighborhood again last night. Spring and early summer is always insanely busy for us so I rarely have time to do fun things like skate, fish, or golf until later.

I agree but we both have NorCal perspectives. The Bayahhrea counties were the first to call shelter in place with the state following a few days later in March. The bulk of the cases seem to have moved to SoCal and Central California. Blah, blah, blah....

No. You're pretty much preaching to the choir. After about 6 months straight of working 50 hour weeks I'm taking this week off before I lose my shit.

Coronavirus got buck here for a bit in Arizona. Phoenix was #1 per capita in the world for a sec. In north scottsdale alone we had to shut down 7 of our stores from employees catching it in the same week, one store had like 9 people out, my store had a case, etc. Has slowed down considerably though. our daily average has dropped a lot from where it was a few weeks ago.

Also, confirmed from more than one friend who has had the virus themselves, they're counting re-tests as new cases in daily numbers, just a FYI for everyone. My friends in Nashville were told by their doctors to not go get re-tested bc the daily case numbers don't reflect number of individuals, just number of positive tests returned. So there's actually no telling how many actual people currently have it.

Which is real fun to hear as someone who lost his career indefinitely over this virus and is now rationing groceries and skipping meals to try and make the budget work out while I work part time at Starbucks and pay rent on credit cards lmao

Wish I could just go to sleep and not wake up for a few months. My life has been more or less completely falling apart. I'm tired, man. Being American blows.

Family stuff, mostly. Evenings are filled with helping out my sister-in-law with a rough divorce; pool stuff, as we've got the house with the pool in the family, so everyone's always at our place swimming; and my new job has me working 12 days on/2 days off, so normal chores (mowing the lawn and stuff) takes precedence over fun.

the local skaters got together & built the first free covered skatepark that I can even think of in my rainy state. Under a bridge about 10 minutes away.
when you fall, you gotta get back up to land the trick.
