I'm so stoked my stokey stoke stokist the stokism and stokerly stoked the STOKE!!!
Ya, got a lap around the block in while working at home. Went out after work to sweep the leaves off the mini and saw water squirting out from the wood under the aluminum panels in the transition. That's a hard pass on riding a wet metal ramp. Busted my face years ago going out on a fiberglass skate park before it was completely dry. Learned my lesson, Maybe tomorrow LOL
I hear stories about pro skaters skating all day with their friends when they were younger, but I have no idea how people can do that. Today I skated from 11:30 to 4:30 pretty much nonstop, the only time I was off my board was when I was getting some snacks at the 7-11. I want to be able to skate 24/7, but I can only go for 5-6 hours nonstop until I don't have enough energy to even ollie. I was wondering if anyone here skates the entire day and if you could give me tips on being able to skate for a longer period of time. I love skating so much and I want to do it as much as I can. Thanks!

OK so today I was driving through the parking lot of a local thrift store and local arts and heritage complex. Spotted this at the far end of the parking lot of the music venue.. that's closed. I'm guessing someone came by to donate it to the thrift place but it was closed so they just left it there for the local kids to skate/ride. It's well built. If I didn't already have 2 very similar, I'd be trying to figure out how to drag it to my house hahaha.

OK I DID "go skateboarding" today for 6-21 day. Even wiped out once dropping in when the rail hung and caught harder than usual rolling over the pipe. Only 10 minutes in the heat, but completed the base objective.
We carved out a little time and got a 2 mile ride in last night... not much, but things have been crazy lately.

FWIW, someone finally snagged that little quarter pipe from the parking lot around the corner. Hope they are using it and not just re purposing the wood.
Haven't had a full day of skating in about 3 years I'd say. Every few months I'll ride around and do a few tricks but it's few and far between nowadays. Getting older physically and having a job really blows. If I could go back I would have skated 20 hours a day when I was a kid instead of worrying about a girl that never liked me to begin with. Sure I skated a lot when I was a kid, but to be able to go back to when we actually had a shop in our town, when there were 35-40 skaters in town and always someone at the skatepark (now it's tumbleweed city constantly), and when weekends meant freedom instead of trying to get shit done. The smell of the bearing grease, the sound of the polyurethane hitting asphalt *tsssssssssszzsss* the feeling of the wind hitting your face as you bomb a hill, that feeling when you land a trick you've been trying to get all day, even better when it's on film. The freedom and friendship with all your boys. The memories, the best days of my life. No matter how hard I squint and wish that I was Ted "Theodore" Logan in a rigged old telephone booth, I'll never be able to go back. All the videos I filmed on YouTube, all gone. Most of my friends have even started families or moved away. Now all I have left is a couple pictures, a few broken boards, and this site to hold my memories. What a wild life.
