Default What was your first exposure to skateboarding?

When I was 5, I always played Tony Hawk games with my cousin.

Pretty sure there's some type of numerous thread on this. But..
Tony Hawk games were a big influence on me while I was about 7 when I started playing them. Then a kid moved on my street and we learned to skate together. It was really fun, he taught me so much but around 4 years ago he moved away, so it sucked =[

I really wanted a skateboard for whatever reason when I was like, 7-8, so I got this walmart board. I didn't even really skate on it until a couple years ago when I got more into skating. Then i broke the nose off and got rid of it.

My older brother and his friends started riding in 1987 and I wanted to tag along. They quit after less than a year, I was hooked and kept going.

About 20 years (or so) ago, a guy brought a plank with wheels to school. The rest is history...
