you got it all wrong, snoop dogg thinks he's panda.

and as far as what do do to make this goes. you'll need

    PARTS LIST
    five 8 foot long 2x4s
    a drill
    screws (2 1/2 inch long)
a power saw of some kind.
    tape measure
5 feet of steel angle iron
    hack saw

    CUT LIST

cut four five foot long pieces of 2x4 to be the top of the bench

cut four 8 1/2 inch long pieces to be the legs

cut four 11 1/4 inch pieces to be the horizontal pieces of the legs

cut one 14 inch piece to go across the bottom of the bench

cut your angle iron to be 5 feet long

    ASSEMBLY

the easiest way to do this is to build the legs first and then add each piece of the top deck on one at a time.

assemble the legs as shown here in this picture. the longer pieces go in between the shorter pieces. make sure everything is level when you're doing this, crooked legs=crooked bench.

once you have 2 leg pieces built screw the first piece of the top deck onto them, space the legs about 6-8 inches from the ends of the bench. screw each sequential piece of the top deck about a 1/3 of an inch apart from the other piece use a dvd or a cd case as a spacer to make sure its the same each time.

once you have that done flip it over and screw the 15 inch long piece across the bottom of the bench.

now for the angle iron, i only added one piece so if you plan on adding two just do this part twice, duh.

you can either use some kind of liquid adhesive or you can drill and counter-sink some holes into the metal and screw it into the bench.

i've never tried using an adhesive but im sure you can read and took 3rd grade art class you can figure out how to glue two things together.

to attach it using screws first find a drill bit that's about the same size as the part of the screw with the spirals on it. use that to drill 3 holes in the angle iron, one in the middle and one on either end. now find a drill bit that's the same size as the head of the screw and carefully drill into the hole you already drilled until there is a large enough hole for the head to sit in without poking up, if you drill to deep then you'll have to redo this whole step again so be careful.

now that you have the holes drilled in the metal use some screws and attach it to the bench, use some 1 1/2 inch long screws or the screws will go through the 2x4s and possibly stab you when you move the bench.

you're basically done, i do suggest you paint it with a few layers of exterior paint to keep it slick because wood has a hard time sliding and it'll last longer in the rain and sun.

    how nice of you.

i could probably sell these as pre-cut kits with instructions. the only thing stopping me is the fact that i have no idea what shipping would cost and the price of angle iron.

not just give it a few more coats? make the coating thicker and more solid.

i have a pallet, and a lotta ply-wood. so tomorrow i'm attempting to make something out of it. manual pad with angle iron for grinding perhaps?

should i make it higher? i really havent progressed in grinding at all, no park to practise at, so the smaller the better for me at the moment.

One more question. How did you cut the angle iron because they don't sell it in 5 foot long pieces? How much approx did this weigh?

sorry it took so long to get back to you.

umm i think i used a big file to cut it. and the whole thing weighs maybe 15-20 pounds.

edit: i remember now that i used a pneumatic angle grinder to cut it.

i built one of these today but i modified it a bit and made it 6 feet long and also replaced the support in the middle with a third leg and reinforced it a bit more so it'll hold up better. also i drilled the angle iron into the wood rather than use that liquid adhesive ****.

Looks good! But how did you cut the angle iron? I REALLY don't want to have to buy any tools.

Hardware stores sell metal cutting hacksaws for 3 here.

Metal is really expensive here. The cheapest angle iron i could find plus delivery was 70 with delivery.

Do you americans just walk into these home depot/ lowes stores and buy it cheap?
