    looks like the pride parade
any relationship that matters - a friendship, a family, a romance, a band - anything - is a perilous and fragile thing because along with all the amazing experiences and creations that can come from something so intimate and exhausting comes the possibility for things to crumble and shatter or whither and die. when that happens, it's easy to forget what was precious amidst all the disaster. we should always carry our history with us but never let it bury us.

Miami Marlins Construction Crew Completely Unaware They've Been Building Baseball Stadium

MIAMI—Speaking with reporters while putting the finishing touches on Miami's new stadium Saturday, construction workers at Marlins Park admitted they had no idea what the structure would be used for, despite having built baseball stadiums in the past. "We installed a big pool back there, so maybe all the seats are for people waiting in line to swim?" said foreman Frank Davies, sealing one of the large, inexplicable dual aquarium tanks behind home plate. "But there's that giant rainbow thing with the pink flamingos we built at the edge of the grass that sometimes lights up and moves like a windmill, so I'd say my best guess is this is a really big miniature golf hole or a theme park for disabled children." Major League Baseball has yet to rule the field fit for play, as the stadium has no traditional dugouts, Marlins management having opting instead for two giant sets of wax lips

It appears others are commenting on the Marlin's new "theme park".

We pull for The Rays because we live right down the street from their Durham Bulls' ballpark. We see several games a year there and the players are great at signing autographs and spending time with the kids. It's cool to see them make it up to The Show and play for The Rays. Too bad they can't seem to get past round one very often. We also get to see the bigger names come down to rehab. Saw Evan Longoria play a game with The Bulls last year. The opposing pitcher beaned him on the first pitch, it was hilarious!

I also like the Mets a lot because they won the World Series when I lived up there, used to get to a few of their games as well. Lately they've been terrible though ugh! Like most sports, I can hop on the bandwagon for teams from any of the many places I've lived. But, none of my MLB teams are still playing this season. On to Football and Hockey..

My Tigers are still in it (I hope I didn't jinx haha) but I can't stand just suddenly liking another team after the one you originally went for lost (except NoSwitch has a reason I guess haha) so I'm basically done with baseball once the Tigers aren't playing anymore.
