    Default Chukkas vs Manchesters

Ok, so if a mod could put a poll in here, "Lakai Manchesters" and Vans Chukka Lows" that would be great, because I'm no sure how to do it(or if I can even do it)

The Manchester's and Chukka Lows have both proved to be very popular shoes, and I want to see you opinion and why you think one is better than the other.

Chukka low: Really comfy but skating wise the shoe looks really thin and would rip fast.
Manchester: I skated 3 pairs of these and I just got new ones today. When you break them in they are comfy but not as much as the chukka lows. These shoes last long they last me nearly 6 months a pair.
(Yes I have both shoes lol)

Manchesters, they've lasted me since Christmas and still are pretty durable. No rips yet

i dont like how roomy the toecap on the manchesters is but other than that they're really great. i havent skated mine too much because of the cold and how thin they are but when i have used them they've been great.

knowing lakai, it's a popular shoe and a low top, so it's probably gonna last you yonks.

probably one of the first negative comments ive heard about manchesters.

I own a pair of manchesters and ive had them since christmas, they dont even have a rip or tear on them. The toe cap is weird, but still a great shoe, i think.

i prefer nike sb low cut blazers

I like to try out different skate shoes instead of sticking to one brand

having skated both, i'd say go with the manchesters (and i'm a fond fan of Vans)

i never found the low's to be comfy. kinda oddly shaped for my foot. manchesters broke in fast and had good board feel

CHUKKA LOWS ARE NOT FOR SKATING. mine ripped in a day. Havn't skated them since kuz it'd be a waste of 45$

Chukkas<3 they're so comfy, they don't rip that fast, i've had mine for a month and they're in great conditions.

chukka lows are great, but you have to have a nice sized bank roll if you want to enjoy them consistently. haha, i've had two pairs of chukka lows, and one pair of manchesters.
in both cases, they lasted about two weeks before i really needed to get a new pair.
it all depends on how you skate them.
an hour a day and you'll be okay.
    6 hrs + ... different story

I still can't understand how you kids skate vulcs, but I have a pair of Manchesters that I cruise around on. From the few Ollies and whatnot I've done in them, they're legit.

Manchesters are awesome. The only thing I don't like about them is how thin the sole pad in the shoe is compared to any vans shoe. So if your skating and you bail off like a 4 stair it's gonna start hurting fast.

Neither look particularly durable but I'd go with Lakai just because I know vans suck. Wear through em like wet paper.
