    Default Ankle weights while skating?

hey, is this recommended for higher jumps and ollies or it will just bust your balls while skating? cuz you know, they say that too much weight will give you enlarged balls..or it will make it the other way around..

ankle weights put fluid in your knees from what i've been told and learned. plus skating with ankles weights is pretty stupid. If you want to be able to ollie higher do some leg presses and etc.

Nowadays I just think its just what the biggest rail and who can do the most tricks. It's more like hammers hammers hammers on videos rather then pushing -Nate Jones

Watchin videos I'd watch more about people how they did the trick then the trick they were doing-Nate Jones

I've seen Brandon Biebel wearing ankle weights before... I think it would work.

i doubt any pros would do this.
if you want to jump higher practice jumping higher.
you'll probably stuff your technique putting weights on

Seated leg-presses/weighted squats are your best bet. Put it on 100kg+ (200lbs) and do it as fast as you can.

I was reading an arcticle in men's health interviewing the guy who broke the ollie hieght record. Basically, he did alot of explosive exercises like Power Cleans and Fast Free wieght squats. DO free wieghts not machines or you'll get a scewed vision of what you can actually lift

I think a weight vest would work better than ankle weights. Unless your board is too heavy for you to flip/ollie with.

Ollies are more technique than strength anyway, I doubt it'd make much of a difference unless your legs are really weak to begin with.
