Default February Member of the Month 2011 - Anonymous Man

Congrats to Anonymous Man for winning MOTM! Here is his interview!

    1) If you had to be stuck with someone for the rest of your life who
    would it be?

Zooey Deschanel. She stole my heart 5 years ago <3

    2) Why are you so mad about mustaches?

Mustaches have bewildered me forever. Hair, that grows under your nose
    and above your lip. MIND ****! You can do so much with it too;
imperial, handlebar, walrus, horseshoe, dali, toothbrush, english, blah
    blah blah.

    My personal favorite...

    ...the chevron.

    3) Cats or mustaches?

I'm sure you all saw this coming...

    Cats with mustaches.

But, if I HAD to pick one...cats. No contest.

    4) What inspired the username Anonymous Man?

You all know my association with 4chan. That's where I got Anonymous
from. As for the, Man- back in 8th grade my friends and I had a group
called, "The Man Clan." Thus, I was, "Anonymous Man."

    5) What attracted you to skateboarding in the beginning?

My friend John was the first new friend I made when I went on to middle
school. He introduced me to skating but I still never took it up. After
a while it really caught my interest. I loved the tricks, the style,
the things you could do on a skateboard just baffled me so I picked it
up. John gave me his old complete (blind, phantom, spitfire, swiss) and
that's where I started. I don't skate much anymore though. I found that
the tricks really weren't what I was into personally. I just loved the
feeling of riding around and being able to control the board just by
moving my body. I'll be taking it back up this spring though and see
    what I can learn.

    6) What's your favorite band(s) and why?

Pink Floyd is by far my favorite band. My father loves them and when he
would listen to them I just couldn't help but get lost in the sound and
their lyrics. So I asked him one Christmas for a few of their CDs and
he got me their box set. They have an album to fit any of my moods.
From the psychedelic sounds of, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn
to the avant-garde sounds of, Ummagumma then to the concept
albums, Animals, Dark Side of the Moon, and The
    Wall
. They're also are responsible for prying my mind open.

Tool would have to be my second favorite band that my best friend Jake
got me into. If you've listened to them then you don't need an
explanation from me. And if you haven't listened to them, then do it.
You must not know what good music is if you don't.

Nirvana is one of my favorites because I listened to them the most
growing up. The raw feeling that's put into their music is incredible.
    I don't care who says they're overrated.

I have a lot of other favorite bands but wouldn't want to bore you with
more descriptions haha. Other bands would be; NIN, Mogwai, anything by
Maynard, Eddie Hazel, Frank Sinatra, Cab Calloway,
Elton John, The Doors, Elliot Smith, Gorillaz, Iggy Pop, Incubus,
Eazy-E, Jefferson Airplane, Ratatat, Biggie, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash,
The Stooges, Sigur Ros, Rush, The Pixies, Radiohead, The Mars
Volta...and a lot more. Each band has their own unique reason that I
    love them.

    7) How many cats do you have?

There's 5 cats in this house but only 1 is mine and that's, Cookie.
She's the one you all see molesting my face in TC. I've had her since I
was 7 and love her to death.
The others are Oreo (we got her when we got Cookie, she's one of the
    originals), Mothra, Ruby, and Avalanche.

    Avalanche ^

    8) What's your favorite "meme?"

    That ****ing Cat

    9) What are your plans for the future? Do you have anything in
particular that you would like to do?

Ever since I was 11 I've wanted to own a Cafe and that's what I aspire
to do. For the more recent future, I plan on getting my GED (most of
you know I'm a drop out and why), moving back to my hometown, get
myself a job, go off to a community college and work on my life once I
get there. Hopefully after a couple years at a community college I'll
go to a University. We'll see what happens.

    10) What's your favorite large feline?

    THE LYNX!!!

ASOFIAIVBNZDLSIBHES I LOVE THESE CREATURES!!!!!! I JUST WANT TO TACKLE
IT WITH LOVE IN HOPES OF IT CLAWING MY FACE!!

    11) If you could hang out with anyone on this forum, who would they be
    and why?

Dan (STL). We've always been good friends here and he's an all around
cool dude. I also envy his record player and his Elliot Smith records.
But most of all, I want his damn Meddle record. We almost met last
summer in Chicago but that didn't work out for me unfortunately.

Andy (HVS). Would be cool to chill and smoke a few joints with him.
Poke smot, font give a duck.

Chris (mr. fabulous). We'd philosphise all night. Soul brothers <3

Mike (MikeM). Awesome dude, always has good vibes to give. Sail fo'
    life!

Jack (heartagram695). We could share our love of Tool and he looks like
he can make a mean grilled cheese. Could also teach me a thing or two
    about Jazz.

Brandon (Brandon). Guy knows how to have a good time. Beer.

Kevan (Rpalp). Some people have a problem with him, but he's an awesome
guy who just likes to joke around without any restrictions.

    12) If you could bang the hottest chick that was in her prime back in
the 50's present day. Who would you pick?

    Audrey Hepburn.

I wouldn't just bang her though. I'm not one to hit it and quit it. I
feel a passionate liking for her. She was a great actress. Robert
    Wolders can bite my ass.

    13) If you had to lose one sense forever (besides smell) which one
    would it be?

Taste. As much as I love tasting what I'm eating, it's not that big of
a deal to lose other than losing some smelling abilities.

    14) What's your favorite food?

Call me old fashion, but I love a big juicy steak.

    15) Who is your favorite superhero and why?

Superman. Do I need to explain? He can do ANYTHING! Also I'm not a
    killer, and neither is Superman.

    16) What is an average day like for you?

    Depends where I'm at.

When I'm here, an average day really isn't much. I wake up, have a bowl
of cereal, babysit if I need to, take a walk, bike, hang out at the
skate park, lurk the interbutts. Nothing exciting.

When I'm in my hometown, well it usually starts off with a wake and
bake with my friend Matt (who's family is o so gracious for letter me
crash at their house for months at a time). After that it really
depends on who we hang with. Most of the time we (our close circle of
friends) either just chill around the house all day, or we'll go out on
random adventures. We'll go to the occasional party and go on an
occasional trip (if you catch my drift) when we're in the mood. Great
    times.

My life isn't that exciting haha

    17) If you could wish for 3 things, what would they be?

I wish I was a cat, with all the catnip in the world, and a good home.

Any fool knows, a dog (cat) needs a home. A shelter, from pigs on the
    wing.

    18) Which sites do you browse the most when you're online?

    Skaters Cafe
    Stumble Upon
    Internet Archive

    I don't go on 4chan much now that I don't go to /b/ anymore. Yes, I
don't go to /b/. Too much cancer. But I do go to many of their other
    boards.

    19) What's your greatest moment in life so far?

I can't think of just one, sorry. I've had many great moments and they
all involved being with my best friends.

I could tell you my greatest moment in skating, but it isn't much. It
was when I landed my first kick flip up on the bank at my local skate
park. I had been trying to land it all day and when I finally did, it
just felt so amazing being able to roll away. It was a damn good kick
flip too according to the people who were watching and rooting for me
    all day haha.

    20) Now that you've won MOTM, does that mean the cafe has officially
jumped the shark, or just unofficially?

I think the cafe just needs to stop scaring off the newer members. The
cafe is dying, but it has potential for a new generation. Of course, I
do only browse the Off-Topic section haha.

I did forget to mention a few others in my shout out now that I re-look it though. So, as an addition, I'd like to shout out to Stu, Danananiel, Baller, cptn craig, MattxLustt, and MRCK.

    <33 good interview
any relationship that matters - a friendship, a family, a romance, a band - anything - is a perilous and fragile thing because along with all the amazing experiences and creations that can come from something so intimate and exhausting comes the possibility for things to crumble and shatter or whither and die. when that happens, it's easy to forget what was precious amidst all the disaster. we should always carry our history with us but never let it bury us.

I spent most of my math period right now reading this instead of learning about silly algebra and trigonometry, which I am failing quite horribly. All you guizes fault. This is a much better alternative. Good reads, and yay kitties.
